I have an N9. I've set up my Google account in the "Accounts" app and enabled Google Talk chat. However, the account doesn't seem to be able to connect automatically - whenever I go to "availability" Google Talk is offline with an "incorrect password" status. When I tell it to log in (in the availability screen press google talk and press online) it occasionally succeeds on the first attempt and always succeeds on the second.

Any advise? Is this a known issue?

This problem is not fixed for me! I'm trying to use GTalk, and application specific passwords, but I never seem to be able to log in. Sure, the google account gets created fine and accepts my passwords but I can never change the availability to 'online' (even though Google seems to notice that my phone has used the password). What is happening?

I've re-flashed the entire device and the problem persists!

Remove the account, reboot, reinstall the account.
