Thank you for this very nice radio app!

But what concerns me is that there's an 5min play limit for an app if i install it from local sources and not from Ovi store. I have an archived copy of fmradio and hoped that i can always install it locally even when the app becomes unavailable for some reason from ovi store (or nokia abandoning n9 users for good, etc).

I'm not demanding anything, still it would be great to be able to install fmradio from a backed up deb file, too.

Anyway, thanks, fmradios user interface is really likable!

do you plan to update it ?
Yep, it contains v0.0.7 (free version)
After it has been stolen and published in Store as payware by StrixCode I stopped updating open-source version.

If you need the original fm receiver engine, it's here:

Yep, there is a copy-protection, so if app is installed not from the Store, it becomes a trial version (works only 5 minutes).

There were several pirate sies who tried to post signed packages stolen from the Store (in particular in Russia and China), so we have to apply a copy-protection.

Please contact support(at)fm-radio.mobi and we could try to solve that issue.

For true FM Radio App fans, support@fm-radio.mobi is issuing personal licenses. It will make application work all the time regardless source of installation.

If you catch it through N9QT - it works ok, without any time limit.
The only way to preserve original deb from Ovi is to catch it during installation.

Yes, i've been catching it using N9QTweak app from Ovi store. Can't think of it weren't the case with a version i had problem with, but not sure, maybe i downloaded a trial version from the web instead. Now i catched the latest version of 1.1.4.

Another question: is there are timelimit for recordings, i have had issues when fmradio stops recording after 5 to 10 minutes?

Possible enhancement for next version -

Display the current radio station on the standby screen.

The limit is 30 minutes.
Could you check it with v1.1.4, and let me know if there are any issues.

andy_tolst,

Why not integrate it into the system's default dbus commands? Then using Billboard it will appear on the standby screen just like the default music or videos app...

You may want to speak to thp too integrate into Billboard hence saving power too
