Hey Nieldk, great work man!

I'm having a problem installing it. First I downloaded it from openrepos and try to install it. It says "Package tor is not user package".

Then I noticed that you need 'openssl', like you said in your post. But I get the same message when I try to install that .deb. Both in warehouse as from openrepos.

Do you know if I miss something?

I got to install it on my N9. But I can seem to find the Program/item on my phone.

Is it only accessable by terminal?

When I start the browser on check.torproject.org, it says 'not connected'.

Thanks!

Thanks Niel!

Sorry for my questions, but can you give me step by step directions for the terminal (codes). I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to accessing apps trough terminal....

Thanks for the good work

Ps: when you are connected' with Tor with your package, does it apply for all the internet Traffic or only the browser?

Settings -> Internet Connection -> Edit Networks -> Choose Network -> Advanced Settings -> Socks 127.0.0.1/Port 9050. Done -> Reconnect.

Open terminal

Type in terminal "tor" without quotes, enter.

Swipe right to minimize terminal (dont close it)

Open browser

Edit: you may also run "tor RunAsDaemon 1" in terminal, that should keep it running. The benefits of having the terminal open, is that once you close the terminal, tor is terminated and no longer active.

Hey Nieldk,

I can't seem to get Tor woelrking on my N9. I installed the package and followed what you described in your last post.

When I typ - tor - in terminal, it says:

BusyBox v1.20.0.git (MeeGo 3:1.20-0.2+0m8) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

~ $ tor
tor: error while loading shared libraries: libevent-2.0.so.5: cannot open shared object file:No such file or directory
~ $

What am I doing wrong here?

PS: Once installed, does Tor work only for webbrowser or all internet connections (apps etc.)?

You miss libevent.
If you have mirrors installed, you should be able to just apt-get install libevent.
It is available here, if not http://harmattan.openrepos.net/rzr/pool/main/l/

Hi Niel,

By Mirrors you mean N9repomirror I quess? I've got that installed, but when I type 'apt-get install libevent', it says 'can't find the package'.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge! Would love to get this working on my n9!
