after reading this i'm curious if nokia will have an official community manager equivlent or is intel gonna govern over everything?
is it yet one more thing that pass's power to intel?
all i see so far is intel holding all the power and making the big decisions. while on maemo.com side just get a say on a new forum structure

Funny - I read your topic heading spelling mistake as "intel hires new MeeGo community magnet" - i thought they had hired some celebrity to promote meego

Please don't jump to conclusions. Quim Qil will continue on in a similar role. Intel and Nokia won't be the only two vendors to participate in MeeGo either, so don't believe this is a "Intel+Nokia only" project.

i already read that before making this thread so dont you jump to conclusions either, i have many insiders inside nokia who educate me fine when we get the pleasure of meeting few times a year, mainly birthdays and xmas
just being a nokia representative is not the same thing as a community manager
up until now intel are running meego.com

EDIT: look at the 5 moblin stakeholders all have gone on to play or assigned big rolls in MeeGo, now compare that to 2 maemo nokia stakeholders

Note that the exact wording is "Intel's community manager for MeeGo" - not "Community manager for MeeGo". The possessive is important.

We already have "Nokia's community manager for Maemo and MeeGo": Quim Gil.

So, now both of the big corporate backers have people responsible for helping those companies work with the community.

I fully expect there to be equal representation from both companies, or at least proportional.
