I am no deep IT guy especially on linux. But is there a way to change the code/kernel or what ever it is to have a native portrait mode on N900. How much of programing would it tearetically require?
I know that N97 is symbian, but if try to do se same I mean about the screen rotation. Tell the os where to place the icons after rotation, how to behave.
Or even an app that would do that. I do not mind having a running task as long I can have what I want.
Flawless comprehensive portrait is not possible. Only application based portrait.
PR1.2 introduced ctrl-shift-r shortcut. which rotates most things into portrait, but not 100%.
Yes. it seems that it would require a great deal of re-writing of major components of Maemo 5, so it was decided to be escalated to later releases of the OS such as Meego.

So my question is. IS THAT POSSIBLE IN ANY WAY?
