im trying to put nitdroid N11 Vostok on my n900!! everything going2 plan till i need2 copy the files2 MyDocs!!! im useing winscp to copy the files!!! i go2 home then user then myDocs and then i copy the file there!! wot am i doing wrong cos when i go back to the x-terminal to install it- cd /home/user/MyDocs and then bzip2 -d N11_Vostok.tar.bz2 its just saying could not open file no file in directory!!! its starting2 get on tits!!!! thanks!!

copy/paste the output from Xterm here. Include the result of 'ls -la /home/user/MyDocs'

With myDocs you mean MyDocs right?

yes!!! im trying2 copy2 files there but i must be doing it wrong!!!

i open x-term and type sudo gainroot to gain root access!!!

then it comes up- /home /user #
i then type- cd /home/user/MyDocs
it comes up- /home/user/Mydocs #

If possible, copy/paste - because this is very likely to be a typo.

Also, at the # prompt, type:
Code:
ls -la
which will list all the files in the current directory so we can see if the N11_Vostok.tar.bz2 file is actually there or not...

ive cracked it!!! i was copying the files to the wrong place!!! sorted now!!! thank for your help anyway!!! by the way when runing android i cant get me network 3G on, do you know how to do this??? thanks!

Good news that you've cracked it.
As regards Android, I've never used it but I know you can't make phone calls. I'm sure there's many threads here that will help you.

Tip: do a google, and add "site:talk.maemo.org" to your search to find stuff here - eg: http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...20android%203g
