I seen someone post:

"open HAM. install power kernel v48 is the stable one. and then there is a widget named max cpu which overclock N900's cpu. done. its easy."

Is it that easy?

And do i need to download Hildon application manager or is that built into the N900?

yes. it is true
and you dont need to download HAM. it is built in. just click the "app. manager" icon.
also you can install QCPUFreq instead of max cpu

you should add extras-devel repository first.
for installation go to http://repository.maemo.org/ , search for "Fremantle Extras-devel" and click the "install" link.
do all this in your N900 browser.
after this the HAP will open automatically and install the repository and update it.
then you fined kernel power in app list.

I have Enhanced Linux Kernal for power users already there so do i need to still download it to get the v48 or is that in the "Enhanced Linux Kernal for power users" app?

And i read a comment on youtube saying before installing the Enhanced Linux Kernal for power users i have to download the "kernel power flasher" app first in order to overclock past 600mhz is that right?

what is you mean by "I have Enhanced Linux Kernel for power users already" ? [sorry for my misunderstand].
if you installed it now, you don't need to download it. and also you never need to download "kernel power flasher". it is suitable for flashing the n900 with PC. but by installing Kernel power from HAM you need to nothing else.

Well, my guide is a little too busy with words but it's actually not that difficult once you get the hang of how it works.
