I did it already 3 times. Rebooting also didn't help.

The icon will only show in status bar when WLAN is disabled. When WLAN is active (default state after reboot), there is no icon.

That is what I've meant Previously there was a button to enable/disable WIFI. Now there is nothing.

How should I disable WLAN so that I could see the icon?

As dsawhney said, disable WLAN(disconnect from the WLAN network if you are connected), and then press the status bar, and you will see Wifi-switcher on the bottom, to the left.

HEY!

When i installed wifi switcher i was wondering were it went after a reboot and guess what?

It moved in the status area to the END of the list. You can see only 8 buttons when you open status area. You can scroll down and there it is! .

This is a known problem and I will release a fixed version as soon as my spare time permits it.

Enjoy.

I don't use WLAN. I'm connected to 3.5G. The problem is solved. I started to uninstall all aps and after uninstalling mameo-pc-connectivity the button again appeared and now I can turn it on and off.
