can someone upload the fedora image? the link is dead. i need the fedora12-m5-v2.img.ext2.tar.lzma file

So anybody figured out if it's possible to boot directly into these?

These are chroot. Virtual machine-ish things... You want to boot directly?
Multiboot and extract to SD and see how you go....

Yeah, thought so.
Just wondering why nobody has tried this yet, etc. installing ArchLinux on their N900.

The problem is that I'm kind of clueless, so if somebody were to give it a shot, please do a step by step.

No drivers for supporting the phone.
Chroot uses maemos drivers.
Use ubuntu if you Want. It's all nicely done.

There are already attempts to boot custom distro on n900.
Debian for example: https://elektranox.org/n900/installation/index.html
