Any ideas on when we can look forward to Shepherd? It would be nice to have an app that would turn GPS on in the mornings and perhaps turn off GPS and 3g when I get to work, maybe turn it back on say around lunch time (3g that is) and then off again. My phone last less than a full day at work due to bas signal on 3g. would this kind of thing be possable?

I've been busy updating my projects to PR1.2 so I would not commit to dates, but RSN (real soon now

). As for what you describe, yes, that is perfectly possible with shepherd's abilities.

Patience. Progress has been slow but steady. There is already a core up on gitorious and ecksun is integrating it with the plugins he was working on so far. It's raw, but growing (really, if you're a user, or even plugin developer, this is not for you yet - worry not, I'll post and push as soon as we have something for the people). On the plus side, I think I found solution to integrate the plugins and the expressions in a really powerful way using QtPluginLoader and QtScript). QtMobility was/is a moving target which made a few things a tad more difficult than I would have liked, but it won't be long until this granddaddy of schedulers appears in extras-devel. When the core+plugins are stable, the base GUI (at least a rudimentary one until ivanzorkic presents me with a design

) should not be an issue (basically it's just a .conf file editor)..

Honestly I am as excited with this app as I was the release of Pr1.2! Finally I can set my phone to automatically use 2g at work, I soooo can't wait!!!!
