The companies that will place well in the hybrid/convertable race will have some sort of retractable screen/keyboard connection technology. I don't think the masses generally buy electronic gadgets that they can impale themselves on. But I could be wrong.

The OS is Linux based as far as anyone knows now. I guess the only selling point of this device is the price - i.e. if they manage to keep it below $200.

No, it has to fold away and be connected. The n810 stand would be what I call kick a*s. It might be an engineering problem that's not easy or cheap to solve for a 10"+ tablet.

It's an older prototype. The other pic that you've posted in post #17 is the actual design. It's getting more expensive because of the metal case.

Yes, and even the screen size of our tablets is still small, i think, and not only for the kittens (well, ok, i'm a grown up kitty).
A full 5" screen would be better ... like on the HTC X7500 but 800x480 ...
