Hello Maemo members,
I am in need to a replacement part for my Nokia N900: The sliding switch on the right side of the device (but if the plastic part alone can be had it is what I would prefer).
On my N900 the bump out of that part has broken off and sliding the switch is now more difficult and slower than simply pressing the power button and pressing "Lock screen and keys".

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to this post,

David

The bump has gone in mine too. Instead of a bump I used a knife to cut out a line. That creates enough relief to make it grippy enough agaim. Might be a solution too.

Shop is closed. Product database is no longer updated.
There is a link to their main site but looks also not promising.

Double-press of the power button is your saviour for now.

This thread has reminded me how silly I was. There was a time when eBay was overflowing with N900 spare parts and I did not stock up on spare keyboards!

After 6 years of owning a N900 I learned something new today!

All the time I used the double-press method. I knew the slider was there, but I didn't know what it's for - nor did I care because there was nothing I missed.
