Starring tracks does work. It's in the menu now.

I don't know. How do you do that, technically?

Hiya pycage!

Is there any possibility to support XBMC with this?

You have no idea how awesome that would be!

That's a good question, pycage.

I don't know.

I am an idiot!

Anyone else here have XBMC set up with their stereo system?

I'm not actually using XBMC* ...but I have played with it....

@ Addison.. are you looking to play the content on XBMC to the N8X0/n900?

Or

Control XBMC from the NIT?

* had an old xbox that I was going to softmod....just never got 'round2it

-tried an old laptop, remote control fail (didn't have one)

-tried Tversity / PS3 Media Server - WiFi G fail
--having to leave Desktop running 24/7

-Currently have 2TB usb drive plugged directly into PS3
--PS3 media bar could seriously use a revamp and they really need to update the firmware to recognize formats other than FAT32 (annoying 4GB file limit)

XBMC has a uPnP server, so you should be able to access content that way using MediaBox. If you want to control XBMC from the device, I think the two options atm are the web interface or Qtirecco. There is an official XBMC application for the Android platform, which is very nice. I prefer MythTV, though.

I'm currently using MicroB and my living room absolutely rocks out!

It's almost like a dance club floor! *lol*

Here's a pic of how I have access to my music from the web.

Are you saying that there's even a better way than this?

There isn't really a better way using the N900. You could use the N900 as an infra-red remote via Qtirecco, but I think that would be inferior to using the web interface, as you are now.

Android has a much nicer solution with the XBMC application, which allows you to browse cover art etc on the mobile device. http://xbmc.org/freezy3k/2010/07/13/...e-for-android/

I'm planning to develop a similar application for MythTV for use on the N900. I'll end here, as I don't want to take this thread any further off-topic.

@Snoshrk

Control XBMC from the NIT? Yes!

That's all and nothing else.

Doesn't even have to be fancy.

Just something a little better than using MicroB in that picture I showed in the prior post.
