Nintendo still makes money off the SNES games on the Wii market...

still don't know why Nokia pulled the emulator though. it doesn't contain any ROMs

I have a question. If I find DrNokSnes(or any game made for Maemo) somewhere in .deb form will have to install depend files also...

My N900 wont be in till later.. so this is all hypothetical.

Depends on how it was packaged. If it used library files present already on the n900 then the deb will automatically pull from there.

If you install it from a 3rd party repo, then it's likely someone would have also put the libraries in that repo.

Well I hope it'll appear on another repository one way or another...
Nokia really did a stupid mistake officially promoting emulators...

Yay! I found it on the Maemo.org site. So i guess it will be ok to use. Though it is in drnoksnes_1.2.2.tar.gz form. So I guess I will have to figure out how to uncompress it. Can I uncompress in in windows.... guess i will go check on that now.

Try 7-zip Ghule. I use it when I'm in Windows to compress and uncompress files.

Hmm... .tar.gz files are inside .deb files.

inside the .tar.gz files is .tar file inside that is directories. Would this be like a windows cab file. As in can i just extract the DrNokSnes directory and place it on my my N900 then run the app?

I would try it myself.. but I am still waiting on my N900. Want to have it setup to get my apps working before i go to work Monday afternoon.

When you open the .tar.gz you are given the source code files. You would need to compile these manually.
