I went to Oslo for a weekend, and during that time I turned off roaming. Which meant, that every time synchronization hit - it kept asking me if I wanted to go online and I kept saying "no!" (and cancel on the password dialog).

Since that time, I have to enter all my passwords after rebooting and Twitter appears to be the worst - asking me every time the program is closed.

I have tried removing accounts and adding them again - I also did a "restore settings" from the settings menu, rebooted and added everything again.

I even tried removing the accounts.db, verifying it on my Linux PC and can't find anything wrong with it.

Another workaround was recently shared here, although if you use ebuddy, it may not be an option

This was really annoying. Tried reset many times (without backup), always kept asking passwords. In the end I flashed my N9 with a fresh PR 1.1 image and now it's working correctly!

I had to do it twice since after the first time it started to ask for passwords again after trying to add multiple Google accounts. Seems to corrupt the account.db ?

Anyway, now mine works
1) Full reflash from image, not reset
2) Don't try to add multiple Google accounts!

Finally got very annoyed with my N9 and decided to try the full hardware reset (15 min procedure).

It's still unable to remember passwords between reboots.

Don't do a full hardware reset, do a full reflash

Here's one guide I followed: http://blog.makesyouhappy.org/?p=202#more-202

Note! Not sure how warranty is after reflash etc..

Thanks. I will try that, when I find myself desperate enough to boot Windows.

Can't understand why this happens. Isn't this supposed to be an open OS, why can't we fix it without reflashing our devices?

I've taken a look at accounts.db and it seems fine. Studying engineering - stuff like this should not look like magic to me.

Edit: Dusted off my old Macbook and flashed from it (running XP). So far so good. Twitter didn't prompt me after rebooting.
Edit 2: Second reboot went fine, no prompts. This leads me to that accounts.db is not corrupted at all (since it is untouched) after the flash. I suspect something went wrong with the PR1.0>PR1.1 update.

I'm on a weekly subscription for this thread...
All the different workarounds to try are documented in this thread.
Some have worked for some people, & not at all for others.
Try the simplest ones, & work your way up to the most drastic ones.
It's alluded to earlier in the thread, as-to-what the root cause may be.
Glad to see that what you've jumped to, has worked for you.

Issue/Bug 123 is still present in PR 1.2 and therefore unsolved.
Really annoying bug, i reopened the case.

Happened to me again after using flight mode, i.e. no internet
connection was available.

OMFG!!!!!!!!
I feared that in my comments in the report.
Mainly due to observations of some beta testers.
But other beta testers findings contradicted it.
