My N900 OVI maps not opening, showing the first window and closes after a few seconds

Tun off your N900,
Put the battery out,
After 2-3 minutes place the battery and then try to open.

why would you use OVI maps while CloudGPS available for us

Cloudgps shown gps lock at the initial start, but after no gps and signal bar in the map at all, aht to do?
Please help

But don't touch the system settings unless you are absolutely sure... You are warned...

BTW - OVI maps are working OK here

modrana is another map/navigation application that works very well.
