Why so disappointed?
You just export the vCards, transfer it to the new phone in any way you like.. then import the contacts there, whether it's on simcard or phone memory.

Just because the N900 seemingly doensn't support sim contacts (I didn't know), doesn't mean your next phone doesn't..

Ah now I see..
I expect Bluetooth would be a pain (one by one transfer?)

Maybe a friend has a Sony Ericsson data cable? prevents you from having to buy it..

does anyone have a solution to this? my phone,n900, is faulty, and am due a replacement. OVI .com would do, although this proving difficult. The phone is not listed in the sync list, there is no option to email or send multiple contacts, the export option only allows moving to other folders on the phone, and this particular hand set cant see the memory card, hence the phone replacement.

Is there a cntr v type command to highlight multiples? copy and paste to email or something? anything? even blutooth is not available for this function.

HOW DO I GET MY CONTACTS OFF THIS PHONE? Pleeease?

  • Export your contacts to a folder somewhere.
  • Open file manager and navigate to that folder
  • From file manager menu select "Share"
  • Select the files to "share"
  • When you're done, press "Share"
  • Select "Send via E-mail"

even blutooth is not available for this function.
The above also allows you to send via bluetooth.

If you have another recent Nokia phone then the Sync app is an easy painless way to copy/sync contacts from one phone to another.

EDIT: Also check out What is the easiest way to export a Contact spreadsheet? to get all the contacts into a single file.
