You didn't explain in your OP that you knew about this!
You also say that you are using SR and ideal voltages together which means SR will not work correctly.
Just because it's worked fine for 6 months, doesn't mean everything is fine and the CPU won't throw it's hand in tomorrow.

Just trying to stop another N900 from dying a horrible death...

Ok, about that, I never heard of it, but if so, what voltage profile should I use? XLV? ULV?

I don't want to fry my n900 either just want to know how is this, that some devices (At least mine) can handle SR with freqs above 900mhz?

It's mostly covered here.
http://wiki.maemo.org/Overclocking

Hopefully you have a backup of the stock kernel-config profile and you can load that and set as default.

If you wish to use >900Mhz you should use "Manual undervolting (legacy)" instructions with SR disabled.

If you are ok with <=900Mhz enable SR and use the stock profile.

I can work with lower than 900mhz, 850 is fine and not so power-consume than 950 or 1000mhz.

I'm going to re-flash my device today, after that I will have on mind what you said.

Also, by stock voltage you mean nokias?
