I was having an sms conversation with a contact and suddenly a reply came from my contact that I had been sending an SMS multiple times and I was requested to stop it.

However, I noticed I didn't send any such sms, infact the sms that had been reported was sent some days ago but only once.

I have no idea how the sms's had been sent multiple times without my knowledge and having no trace of being sent.

Any ideas?

Maybe your telco's side has a fsck up?

Has this only happened this once or again with other contacts etc? If its the former just put it down to a telco fsck up...

Yeah never happened before. :/

Maybe you are right, telco fsck it is then.

Actually there was another thread about unauthorized sms sending in the N900 forums. Prompted me to ask whether any bug could trigger this.

Thank you thedead1440 for swift response as always.

There is a thread on the N9 too but that was due to some app sending messages to overseas destinations; repeatedly sending the same message to same contact on the N9 is not something I've seen so far though...
