So kernel is 64bit and userland is 32bit. But maybe it will change when Xperia comes.
I think so since they need to port Alien Dalvik to 64-bit

Can't wait!

I'm sitting here and considering - should I buy a Sony Xperia X...
There ares still some, but fast decreasing, sources here to get a new Xperia X at the price about 330€.
In the hope, that soon (TM) I'll get a possibility to run SailfishOS in it. (I did not get either Jolla1 (N900 was at that time still very good) or Jolla C (seemed too outdated)).
In comparison to my current phone (Nexus6 & LineageOS14.1) Xperia X looks like somewhat a sort of downgrade. Definitely not an upgrade...
On the other hand I'd like to return using more real Linux environment in my smartphone...
If SailfishOS in XperiaX results a failure, then LineageOS is not supported in Xperia X but OmniROM is:
https://omni.cmxlog.com/7.1/suzu/
Or should I go Youyota Sailfish OS 2-in-1 Tablet road instead?
So - what do you recommend?

Well if you're so into the latest hardware you may just want to run Linux on Android http://whiteboard.ping.se/Android/Debian

Otherwise either accept older hardware like Jolla1 or C or to current community ported devices. We do not know when the Xperia X official release will actually be available for anyone to purchase it might be quite some months yet.

Wait with both. Jolla has scamed us before and there is currently no relatable info regarding release or who/what this so called beta group will do.

YouYota is slightly better option in my opinion but then again. Plenty of uncertainty in such a small quantity project.

So wait and see...
