1) Stop MicroB webbrowser.

2) Install webaddon-useragentswitcher for: Chinook or Bora (Chinook source builds fine on Diablo.)

3) Start browser, wait a few seconds till fully loaded; stop browser, wait a few seconds till fully quit; start browser, wait a few seconds till fully loaded.

4) Go to chrome://useragentswitcher/content/config.html and consider to bookmark this URL.

5) Who do you want to imitate today? Consider to add the Iphone. String is: Mozilla/5.0 (N8x0 like iPhone; U; Linux like Mac OS X; ARM; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (Gecko, like KHTML)

(Info partly based on Wiki/Internet:Custom_Styles.)

Thanks for the tip, but wouldn't it be faster just to bookmark the string that switches the useragent and then use that to switch the useragent (just click on the bookmarked address since it passes along the useragent changes)?

Yeah, it is but this way you are able to manage the options further & allow more fine grained setup.

Like what?

It sounds more complicated and slower than bookmarked about:config strings.

Its especially slower because you need to access the chrome, and have this bookmarked however once you're there you have tons of options.

1) You can easily change the useragent string (a tiny bit)
2) You can have multiple profiles, and manage them
3) You actually easily see the useragent string without characters like %20

ABP solves the chrome issue with a JS overlay icon on the bottom right which points to chrome://adblockplus/content/config.html

But hey... I'm not changing my user agent... got no need for it
