Making a simple phone call is all I ask.. can we still make and receive phone calls with this installed?

Trying to read through the links mentioned in this thread, but can someone tell me as to how Kubuntu is useful or what special features would be available after installing it ?

Just want to figure out if its worth investing in a MicroSB (min 8GB card) and creating 3 partitions to get this thing installed !

according to the article in http://apachelog.wordpress.com/2011/...s-sneak-peak/: In 11.10 we will make this amazing product see its first stable release. In particular it will be the first release to finally integrate telephone features.

would love to try it... when it comes out in october

Want calls? Use Maemo... Why all the fuss to run another Linux OS!? Maemo is Linux!

But if you want calls from another OS: meego 1.2 has fully working calls and SMS.
