Hey Guys
3 Days ago I recieved my Nokia N900, I was waiting for it so long..

And Its great and everything
I started to play with it, From the time i recieved it I have flashed it about 4 times xD due to my mistakes...

Now I have some pen testing programs and Injection driver.
But I tried to install some more programs from the devel-repo.

and Its Showing me some kind of errors:

Code:
Unable to install 'dsniff set of password tools'
Some application package required for the installing are missing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Details:

Application package missing: libpcre3
Its not only about this package, I don't know why apt-get dosen't seem to work for me since I have been installed the injection driver.

and there are lot of other missing packages i.e On wireshark:

libpcre3 (>= 4.5)

I really don't want to reflash my device again guys...
Its really pissing me off...

I would love some help from the comunnity thanks!

Find its gaarge page see if it has more info on its dep?
Sdk is a good dev/testing env. And yes (easy) to unzip and restart with clean meamo.

you need to make sure you have all the needed repos like extras/devel and Nokia"s repos.
then make an update for your package list
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get install dsniff
Good luck

./sifo

Already did that, Dosen't seem to work apt-get seem to give errors.

I reflashed my device (again)
And I'm not sure if should I install the Injection driver
as it seems to make problems and disable the OEM updates and the apt-get....

Also does anybody on this comunnity would like to help me privatly with the N900? , Thanks!

Hi here is alternative method to install Injection driver, download from that link http://david.gnedt.eu/blog/wl1251/ first "Version 0.1 package including binary for kernel-power <= v49 (141mb) then "Version 0.2 binary build for kernel-power v50(1mb) to your pc,after downloading those files, connect your n900 witn pc(usb cable mass storage)transfer it to n900,then unplug usb cable open x-terminal:
sudo gainroot
cd MyDocs
mv wl1251-maemo-0.2-power49+pre50.tar.gz /home/user
tar -xzvf wl1251-maemo-0.1.tar.gz
cd ..
tar -xzvf wl1251-maemo-0.2-power49+pre50.tar.gz
cp wl1251-maemo/wl1251_spi.ko wl1251.ko rfkill_backport.ko mac80211.ko compat.ko cfg80211.ko /home/user/MyDocs/wl1251-maemo/binary/compat-wireless/
this is all,I am with kernel-power 50 and on this way until now,i no have any problems with Injection driver
regards
