Hello,

Is there any generic newspaper reader application available for Harmattan, like it is 'World Newspapers' for Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...wspapers&hl=en) ?
All I can find in the Nokia Store are apps for a single newspaper/magazine/blog.

AP Mobile (by associated press). You specifically asked about news papers.

Of course, there are plenty of newspapers that have their own mobile friendly sites. But your choice will be region specific. But the quality ones always have a good world section.

Reuters is a global news agency and has a mobile web.

Although if you want news headlines on your events homescreen, misterc's suggestion of using the RSS reader app is probably your best option.

if you don't like the new "bad boy of the block", you may always go for BBC rss feeds or others like it...

once again... quantity is not quality
the plethora of ANDroid (or iOS for that matter) apps seem to be mostly junk
adware as often as not when they are so called "free"

i'm somewhat old school, don't use RSS feeds
(have the Google news alert sent to my e-mail in subfolders, thus skipping the inbox, thus NOT triggering an alert on my N900

both links i provided mention something about using a modern browser & clicking on the RSS icon at the bottom of the page (?)

Thanks for the suggestions so far, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for.
E.g. the androidic app I mentioned before, has a inbuilt list of 6000+ local newspapers (often, the mobile version of it when it exists), from over 100+ countries, and it simply adapt the pages for the small screen.

EDIT: ...and, no I'm not looking for headlines on the notification screen
