Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..

Version 2.3 removed. It was stated it was untested, but I should have written that in the first post.

Seems it may have stuffed my device also.
EDIT: Nope. Fixed it. Version 2.4 is out.

Says so in the first post, vihru.
extract the zip file into /usr/share/themes/ on your N9 and reboot.
