Hi!
Anybody got an idea, how to disable wifi or only wifi search, when
a bluetooth connection was established, and enable it again, when
disconnected?
I am using my N900 in-car to play music over a2dp. But the wlan
search makes the audio stutter.
Maybe this can be done via dbus.

go to setting-connectivity-internet connections...
in the search interval button select 'never'...this will disable the auto search on your wifi connection...

But I want to have the search enabled, only disabled on bt connection.
When I reach a known wlan, the device should connect automatically,
when no bt connection was established.

I don't think there is any easy way to do that automatically, but I think you could write your own custom dbus script to do it.

That is what I want to do. The bt event can be monitored. But I found
no example how to enable / disable wifi via dbus.

Check out the Fcron wiki page

http://wiki.maemo.org/Fcron

It has scripts to turn off and on wifi, I think you could use these with dbus-scripts as well.

So I think you would run a script to turn off WiFi, when the dbus event for Bt connection takes place, and reverse that on disconnect.

Thanks! This could solve it!

Edit: The scripts provided there work. I want to use them with dbus-scripts.
I have to monitor in-car. There's many traffic on dbus. Hard to find out the
correct event. Does anybody have the events for bt connect or disconnect?
Otherwise I will try to find out by monitoring.
