I suggest you the https://www.dropbox.com/ , it's very easy to use, the only limitation is the 2GB of storage to free accounts. But there is no problem to create 2 for this :-)

Bittorrent seems the best way to spread this. Once there's a torrent people (including me) can add some seeding from servers to keep the thing up.
A bunch of different archive files in a torrent will make it easy to select the ones one needs (e.g. with transmission).
