Sorry for being so dumb... but I'm not able to launch any GUI from the link in the menu: clicking on the icon has no effect and I have no idea how to launch it from terminal...
I had no error messages while installing both the packages...

The entry ramzez.desktop points to a /usr/bin/ramzez, problem is there's no such file on my device

iirc, you need 3 packages to get ramzez going. ramzez-init, ramzez and ramzez_diablo.

none that i have noticed. Been using both for months now, iirc.

heck, i have dropped using a actual swap file, and instead use compcache at a 50% setting.

compcache was tried befor with no advantage. With faster processors and slower flash im sure it works great. I once made a winamp plugin that compresed the dll of plugins to speed up loadingtime the theory being that cpu cycles were just being wasted. I have also forgoten the name of the utillitys that. it was based on. If so ifeone knowes the name could you drop me a note
also Im sure that compcache will speed up my notebook with umbunu on flash.
