First post updated, mafw-gst-...-renderer's removed, as for resolutions above 1024x768 software scaling is used (which reduces performance). A new kernel is needed for higher resolutions. I will send a patch for kernel-power to pali.

Apparently, power49 has a new bridgedriver in it. Does this mean the bridgedriver from n950 is no longer needed?

I apt-get --reinstall'd mafw-gst-renderer from the repos, but on power49, I now get a WCD_CallDevIOCtl requested ioctl -1073423585 out of bounds for table 0.
I'm going to restore all files now.

It is better to re-install stock mafw-gst-...-renderer , as new kernel-power is already build here, which will allow HD resolutions without modified mafw-gst-renderer.

@Hurrian - new bridgedriver.ko is still needed, WCD_CallDevIOCtl messages you receive are because of the difference in ioctl codes which gst-dsp on Harmattan uses. I will build compatible bridgedriver.ko and will attach it on first post soon. The bad news is that I still don't have response from Felipe Contreras re gst-dsp source code, maybe I sent the mail to wrong destination. Will try again to reach him. Once I have tis source code, there will be no more need for special bridgedriver.ko, but for now it is still needed.

First post updated, see changelog at the end.

Now I will try to make a script which will allow to enable 720p using n900 only.

As root:

apt-get install --reinstall mafw-gst-renderer

or

apt-get install --reinstall mafw-gst-subtitles-renderer

depending on which package you have installed.
