terminal give same messages in normal use...suspecting the freeze at startup is just related to slow/no gps fix sometimes

it's either that, or simultaneous image loading. i'm resolving this atm. your trick with subscribing to page helped a lot (they post lots of photos).

N900 users!
Version 0.5.2.0 released.
Build v>=201307012111

Major improvement is an overlay fix:
  • top left clicking wont minimize nelisquare
  • top roght clicking wont close nelisquare, and notifications can be reached
Also some minor bug fixes take place here

do i have to uninstall previous version to update or is there another way. i try to install newer release and it says that the app is already installed.

If your current version is installed from Ovi Store, and sign says, that "signed version from trusted source installed", then you should uninstall current version (from ovi store) and install downloaded version (stable/beta/alpha).
all next updates (via in-app dialogs, and downloaded debs) can be installed without uninstalling current version, upgrade will be performed.

"apt-get install nelisquare" command, after enabling extras and extras-devel repositories and performing apt-get update.

I see your signature, but are you sure you have CSSU Stable installed? and extras-devel enabled?
0.4.8 version is the latest version in extras-testing/extras repository.
