$ apt-get install <pkg-name>=<version>

replace <pkg-name> and <version> with the desired values

or you can download a particular version of pkg from http://maemo.org/packages/ and install using "dpkg -i <deb-file>"

DISCLAIMER: I am no expert. The following is merely my ideas and opinions alone.

Ok, so do you want too downgrade to a slightly more stable version like from 1.7 to 1.6 or do you want to go to a much older from ver 3 to ver 2?

In the first case, it might be available in the repository maemo.org/packages/.
But second case, even if u find the deb file floating somewhere on the net, may lead you to dependency hell.

Thx mate... way too easy. And working excellent. Just tested one of the latest builds of meego "meego-handset-armv7l-n900-1.1.80.11.20101221.1-mmcblk0p.raw" but that was a dead loss.

It was just like "pls don't touch anything or I'll get stuck"

Greetz,
