v0.1.147 is already in extras-testing and current karma is 3 out of 10. I wonder if those 3 testers have successfully saved a track or not.

I have used a GPS tracker widget, and it is saving the files to GPX format,
but with this website I´m able to get my tracks analyzed

A great App but I have the same error.

Looking at the log it does not actually show it has written anything.
It just opens the trackfile, close it and then deletes it.

Hope we can find a solution to that issue,
i was hoping it was something simple
like a write permission or something equally fixable...
Ah well, maybe I can roll back to the working version.

Noone else is experiencing the same track saving problems? The package is up to 5 out of 10 karma now.

Hi everyone,

I would like to inform you that I've fixed the "Deleting track" bug it and I will release a corrected version soon. I am currently testing it first.

In the meantime, there is a trick to "ensure" your track will be recorded correctly if your in a good enough GPS reception area.
Here is the link.

The reason why some people do not complain about this bug is because GPS Recorder waits for a very good GPS reception before starting to record so it mainly depends on how it is used.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers,
Jean-Charles

Thanks for an extremely useful app. I worked my way through the need for a good fix first, and only try and stop recording when I am certain I have had the green record button light up for more than about 10 seconds (2 readings at 5sec intervals).
I do find, however, that I have to close the application between recordings, otherwise the track is deleted. This means, the first recording is saved, but if one starts a new recording (after waiting for a good fix) and entering a name for the track, the new dataset is deleted on stopping.
