with yesterday's upgrading to packages

12 applications to update
installed another 4 new ones
upgraded to ICS android release
f*cked up whole of my school's wifis

What's with the desire to declare the N900 dead?

I think it's pretty clear that there's still life in it with people still using it, this amazing community still supporting it, and even some people still wanting to buy it!

The N900 and Maemo at large has always been very reliant on the Maemo community, and it still seems pretty strong and active to me.

I certainly am not getting rid of mine anytime soon and look forward to continue using it daily for a good while yet. I see no reason to jump ship over to anything else for the foreseeable future.

N900 is not your patient to declare dead so fast :-).
We have great doctors here in TMO to keep it alive.

I can sense the lights slowly going out here. But I don't see anything worthy to replace it. I have actually bought TWO watch/cell phones lately, but they both broke. I don't have enough money to pay much more than the $400 I paid for the N800 and its successors. Before you can say "the king is dead" you have to be ready to say long live the new king. Where is he/she/it?

same as mine. its still alive and kicking. imagine i was in the courtroom and the judge asked me to submit a pleading... i just asked the honorable court to give me at least 10 mins... then voila i have drafted it and just emailed it to my email and have it printed to the nearest computer shop. all in 10 mins. amazing. n900 is my life line.
