Just received an email from the makers saying they have a final prototype ready!
It looks pretty good to me I am a little worried about the second diamond and where those keys would fall on the keyboard.
Email:

Thanks for requesting a Game Gripper for the N900. We are done with the model and it has gone to manufacturing to make some prototypes. However, there is still a small window of opportunity to make changes. Can you guys please let me know what you think about the new design? Do you like the button layout? Color? Can you confirm that the space button works when pressed only on the right side?

Thanks for your help and support!!

I would like gray/blue/white buttons more, otherwise it looks fine.
2 extra buttons could also become handy for playstation games.

I can confirm this, can't wait for it, seeing as I'm not much of a handy type.

I received the same email as well, good stuff! How does this work exactly, is it like a Bluetooth interface with the N900 or is it simply a keyboard interface? (i.e. a platform that physically presses the existing keys) Since if the later I'm a little concerned about what buttons it falls on. Not all games can be configured to use all buttons, like it seems some games can't use shift or backspace etc.

It looks like they offer a lot of options for button colors with the Droid. I assume it will be the same with the N900.

My guess is that the buttons would be as follows:
Cross: W,A,D,X
Middle buttons: T,Y and B,N
Diamond: O,K,period, and space.
