hello im new in this site, i have a N900, i love this phone, and i downloaded easy debian, when i start the synaptic i receybed this message

dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run dpkg --configure -a

and when i ran this it no work, it say me:

dpkg: failed to open package info file '/var/lib/dpkg/updates/0015' for reading: Steale NFS file handle

can some body help me in this, i have any idea what it means :(

This happens to me, too. Often. The only fix that I know of is to get a new image. I usually keep a backup copy of that large file on my PC for easy transfer.

I'm at the point where I may have to do that again after trying to install CUPS. I'm going to see if I can find a better way...

Happened to me twice!

I was running synaptic package manager through easy debian when the phone just rebooted. After this it seems there is no way to recover unless you install a new image.
