My battery used to drain about 10-15% in half an hour with wifi switched off(using wifi switcher) on a 2.5G Network. Today while on a call i noticed that by CPU usage is 100% constant(in conky) and trackedd was using most of the CPU%. Typed 'top' in xterminal while on call and got this:
1341 1 user R 5508 2.2 63.7 /usr/lib/tracker/trackerd
925 1 pulse S < 6024 2.4 17.8 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --system --high-priority
Mem: 237748K used, 7792K free, 0K shrd, 9972K buff, 98092K cached
CPU: 80.5% usr 19.0% sys 0.0% nice 0.0% idle 0.0% io 0.0% irq 0.3% softirq

1181 840 user S 9128 3.7 0.0 /usr/bin/systemui

I was wondering if this is normal or bug and if there any work around for this.
Any help would be great.
Regards

Looks like the tracker process is taking up most of the CPU. You can open a terminal and use
Code:
tracker-processes -k
to kill it. It will get restarted again automatically. If it still gives you problems you can try
Code:
tracker-processes -r
which will kill it and delete its databases, it'll rebuild the databases automatically (it should only take a few minutes) though you'll lose stuff like "tracks played" in the media player (and possibly some other stuff, I'm not quite sure) but nothing important.

trackerd uses most of the cpu only when am over call.. after i disconnect the call everything is back to normal. cpu % averages between 5-7% in conky. while idle.
