If you do that, please do share the .stl file. Thanks.

Have a look at this: https://wiki.maemo.org/Remapping_key...emporary_remap

I'll look at it when I got back, but that seems to be what we want (maybe)?

Has anyone come up with ideas for making the return key bind to camera trigger?
I dont like the idea of remapping, maybe a script to run
Code:
gst-launch v4l2src device=/dev/video1 num-buffers=1 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! jpegenc ! filesink location=frontcam.jpg

From experimenting with capturing a video frame this way (over wifi through ssh), I can't get the camera to properly focus or set its exposure like it would from a camera app. So far all my pictures taken this way have been blurry and too dark or too light

Maybe it could be done with dbus. I have not tried it but there is something with focus and also with shutter.

/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/platform_cam_focus

Does the "c" key focus and trigger together in the cssu app?

I will have a look in the cssu camera-ui source and try to replace the "c" key with enter. Should be the simplest solution.

So I tried stock camera application and the camera application from cssu. However there is no hotkey c. Or do I need to install fcamera or something else? In the cssu git there is only camera-ui source couldn't find source for camera2-ui.

If there would be a hotkey I could write a small console app for trigger it with the return key.

Doesn't seem to. "c" key takes a picture on release, but there's no focus lock tone, no lens moving noise, no focus assist light turned on and no reticle turning green effect when "c" is held.

First photo shot with "c" key, second with shutter button.

Ok stable cssu doesn't have other camera app only the testing version. Good to have more than one N900
