Not dead, maybe stalled. If you want adopt it, it would be great and I can "mentor" you. If you just want recode it using QML, I will accept patches and could coordinate merging them.

im willing to help but i can't develop or create patches as i don't know how to develop.

edit: how much time it takes to load for the first time ? i entered telescope in terminal and its taking time to launch.
