I believe there are one or more forks of Maemo Mapper. The v2.6.2 I'm referencing was built for OS2008, the last one released by the original developer.

http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/maemo-mapper/

I believe at least one of those forks focused on simplifying the user interface and was done for the N900.

Fragos, I typed the new geotags link into the Source URL box and get the message "File not found". Am I doing something wrong? I triple checked the entry and there were no typos.

I went back in the thread and found that the displayed link had been shortened, you needs the actual link. The give away is the three periods in a row. The link address which you enter preceded by http:// is:

gpx.geotags.com/cgi-bin/gpx.cgi?saddr=%s&daddr=%s

I removed the http:// so the forum woudn't truncate what you see as a long link.

Thanks Fragos! That was the answer. I use MM all the time so it's great that you were able to solve this problem.

I uninstalled maemo-mapper and re-installed it from http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/maemo-mapper/ but it's still not better. The version that seems to be installed is "2.6.2-os2008-yandex1". Is that the version that you have?

Thanks.

Looking with the N810 Application Manager my Maemo Mapper say "2.6.2-os2008". Check out https://garage.maemo.org/frs/?group_id=29.

Thanks fragos, your info helped a lot. I ended up re-installing Maemo Mapper from the garage link and used the geotags url. Now I can download routes again.
