If you're one of those 10-finger typists who haets to leave home row for your occasional mousing, check this design out. 100% WIN.

looks like it doesn't even have the F1-F12 keys... that's not awesome, not even decent.
Maybe it would be cool for a Nxx0 or other devices that don't require F1-F12 keys, but for a computer that's just a useless piece of plastic.

Heya Arnim!

Just wondering something that's a little off topic.

Have you tried installing Xkbd on your N900?

I'm curious to see if it produces this same error we get on the N8x0.

Sorry - server Keyboard map doesn't contain either 2 or 4 KeySyms per Keycode - unsupported!

I managed to score something off ebay...

Almost perfect, but cheap 1996 style bottom-out key action. Fairly RSI inducing. The later IBM space saver models use laptop-style X-Scissor keys, which are... not exactly 'hacker' keys.

The guru keyboard is planned to map F1-F12 (programmable firmware) and feature cherry Red, Brown, Blue keys.

Another option -- if you can find it -- is the Unicomp Might Mouse. Sadly discontinued..

My hands are way too big for that small keyboard.

Nice, I've always liked the eraser nubs, mouch better than laptop touchpads.

Id really like to see the daskeyboard add an eraserhead eventually.
http://daskeyboard.com/ they have one of the most solidly built keyboards today. As well as unicomp: http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net/keyboards.html (they own the Model-M Designs now)

Here is my keyboard, it has mouse control as well, not as nice as the eraser hub, but overall less movement for typing as well

It' a DataHand: http://www.atpm.com/7.05/datahand.shtml

I've never been able to use nubs. I oversteer every time. I'll take mice, trackpads, whatever else.
