Hey all, I did a search and I've come up empty here.

I got my Mom a 770 to replace her Palm and I'd like to move data from my Nokia 770 to her Nokia 770.

Has anybody done this, ie. Bluetooth or whatever.

Thanx in advance.

Just use scp.

$ scp /the/data/i/want/to/copy.txt root@ip.of.mon's.770:/folder/folder/

Great, but how do you connect the two together? I'm a former Unix user and understand command line and copy things.

My question is what method can the two hand helds us to connect to each other?

Thanx.

Why not transfer data on a MMC card from one 770 to another?
(copy to mmc card, move the card, copy to 2nd 770)

or copy from 770 to PC to other 770

just have to think about whats on 770 itself versus on the MMC, that you want to move.

Yah thats possible too. Thanx. I currently have them both connected to a USB hub and I can dump from 1 memory card to the other memory card. But can they be tied together wirelessly?

Thanx.

Sure your can. It is very similar to connecting to your PC. You need to be near a wireless router. Install xterm,becomeroot and ssh like directions given here http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=examplified. Do this on both tablets. If you followed the directions sshd will be running. Find the ip address of you mom's tablet. Now you can run commands like ssh and scp. Use Torx's suggestion and Just use scp. You will be asked the password of user you set up on you moms's tablet.

$ scp /the/data/i/want/to/copy.txt user@ip.of.mon's.770:/folder/folder/

Cool thanx I'll give it a try later. No password set on the Nokia right now, probably a good idea to set one though.

Thanx again.
