Not really.
Sounds very strange.
But I guess just another symptom of famous N9 tracker database bug.
Before resetting tracker make a backup of all contacts and as far as possible/needed the messages (not that all would come back easily).
What happens if this contact calls that N9?

Today they wanted to dial this contact but they couldn't find it. After some search, it came out, that: the Phone app properly labels the number, the Messaging app list the affected contact while typing the part of its name.
Still, one cannot find this contact while being in the Contacts app.
Do you have any ideas what to do with this one (and possibly find all such affected contacts)?
