TWY or anybody,
How did you get your n800 to pair up with the ABG 108. I get one of two messages: slowly, "pairing failed, device resources exceeded" or, quickly, "authentication failed."
Help, Please. Thanks in advance!

The passcode is usually 0000 (occasionally 1234), so you might want to type that in. You might want to reboot and initiate the pairing on the n800.

They were out of boxed ABG 108's, but I picked up the same model as an open box item for $17.99 + S&H.

In my case "open box" mean they included everything and added a plug-in charger.

Of course, it's a european charger, so it isn't all that useful, but I thought that was rather funny...

Anyway -- the ABG 108 seems to work beautifully with my OS2006 770 and Maemo Mapper via the Maemo Bluetooth Connectivity Plugin.

A $20 GPS. Who'da thunkit?

Sorry for the late response. When I first got mine, I popped the battery right in and turned it on. The 3 lights came on and stayed lit so I assumed it was working. However, the n800 wouldn't even see it. So, I plugged it into my car adapter for 1 or 2 hours, and when I turned it on, the bluetooth and satellite lights were blinking appropriately (and brightly). Then the n800 recognized it right away. I enabled the bluetooth through maemomapper. I think the 0000 code was the default, because I don't believe I needed to enter it. Good Luck.

Another $20 GPS (Using the 51 ch MTK w/SBAS):
http://www.buygpsnow.com/AR-200-Blue...-Receiver.aspx
(the chip apparently can do 5Hz - it doesn't say it connects via USB). $5 shipping.

For $40, this one (same chip?) is advertised to do 5Hz:
http://www.buygpsnow.com/GlobalTop-G...-Off)_914.aspx

And semsons (still?) has:
