1. Open qspot to get playlist loading started.
2. Change spotify to "offline" mode.
3. Select "log out (user)"
4. Open qspot and type your login info in query.
5. Qspot opens without loading playlists automatically due to offline mode; now select "go offline" and BAM! playlists are there and they work.

But like I said if I try enable offline mode on some playlist I get error and sync gets stuck. After that when I close qspot and start it again it's again stuck in playlist loading and I need to repeat above steps to get playlist loaded again.

Code:
~ $ /opt/qspot/bin/qspot

There's the x-term log successfull loading after the steps. There's also shown the "offline licence server error"; it's that channel-error line there. Hope this can help the solve the issues with these offline playlists.
Glad to hear that you have found some workaround to the playlist loading problem. Still need to investigate what is causing the problem. The license error means that the Spotify license server of some reason is responding incorrectly, and that also means that playlist syncing will not worked. On some Spotify forum one recommendation to such syncing issues was to desync all playlists (from all devices), and re-sync. This could of course be time-consuming.

Just wanted to announce that QSpot version 1.2.0-1 can now be downloaded from extras-devel / project garage page. This version adds some changes to playlist loading handling (hopefully this will solve some off the issues you have been experiencing). Also some UI changes have been made, i.e, the spectrum analyzer has been removed, and the progress indicator enlarged (in landscape mode). Hope you will like the update

Glad to hear that the playlist loading issue could have been solved I have now also promoted the latest version to extras-testing, so your votes are welcome. Link to extras-testing page: http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...qspot/1.2.0-1/.

I am unfortunately experiencing strange behavior I don't know if I am alone to see that but here is what I get :

Yesterday I installed new Qspot version, all playlists loaded fine. I even lauched a song inside a playlist to test everything was ok.

Today, I launch Qspot, playlists load but they all show 0 tracks. I go offline, quit and launch Qspot then go back online : 0 track only playlists
I then log out/in : still 0 track
I removed .qspot on Emmc then launched back Qspot : only one playlist shows up ("Starred tracks"). After reboot, same problem.
apt-get purge qspot didn't solved this, now I only get this only playlist, which is empty.

So I decide to get a log to give you, and I type "/opt/qspot/bin/qspot > qspot.log" and I get this :
SetOfflineMode: false , false
Connection state: 0

Display login window..

At this point, only Starred Playlist shows up. I launch it again from App Menu, then all playlists show up with 0 tracks (please don't hang yourself now )

So here is another log, all playlist load with 0 track in this case :

Very strange, for me playlist loading works all times. It seems that you get the number of playlists (72), but the associated metadata is not loaded of some reason (e.g., tracks). It is possible that this is a problem with the currently used version of the library. It would be easier in case I could reproduce the problem myself.

What kind of playlists do you have? Shared / collaborative / own?

Edit: Anyone else that have been experiencing the same playlist loading issue with QSpot?

I guess there are just my own. I don't remember ever using collaborative or shared playlists.

Is it so that you have not at all been able to access your playlists since you installed the latest update?

Yep. I had uninstalled Qspot for a few weeks, installed it again when you announced the update, but I somehow installed the 1.1.1-2 version as previously stated : it didn't load any playlist (as expexted). Then installed the 1.2.0-1, and it worked: as far as I know it loaded al the playlist but I didn't paid attention to track numbers to every playlist. I only tested a one-track playlist I have (...), and playback worked...then went to sleep...
A full day after I tried Qspot again, and I got the 0-track playlist problem. Unfortunately I don't remember installing or removing anything on my device during these ~24h but it could have happened...

Well, not exactly. I must start by congratulating you in solving (as it seems) the problem with QSpot getting stuck while loading the playlists. Finally it seems that I might be able to use my favourite N900 application again.

I haven't been using QSpot much lately, since I've had to restart it several times (sometimes maybe 10-20 times) to get past playlist loading. However, I didn't purge it and of course, updated to the 1.2 version just released.

At the first few starts of the program, I had the exact same problem as Vlad, i.e. all playlists appeared but had 0 tracks. Selecting a playlist displayed an empty list. I then opened the settings window and, without changing anything I think, saved the settings (don't know why I clicked 'Save', but there it is). After a restart, QSpot is now playing one of my playlists without a problem.
