Well, I had this question...since the N9 is going to be outdated hardward wise in a few years, I wanted to know if it's possible to install MeeGo in an Android device. This way we can keep using the N9 OS on many other devices and form factors. Imagine a N950 like keyboard running meego, but with Samsung hardware. WOW

The same question goes with the Lumias, can a L920 run MeeGo?

Don't know but MeeGo Harmattan is closed source. so may be not possible but i don't know. and regarding Lumia 920 it will not boot any other OS except for Windows Phone as it has a locked bootloader.

there's a huge difference between nemo (aka the bare/pure and OPEN SOURCE Meego os) and Meego Harmattan (the one we all love on our N9s)

Meego Harmattan is Nokia's/Intel's(?) version of Meego and of course it's closed source.

same probably applies for Jolla's version of Meego, aka Sailfish.

so... pure Meego can be ported (and has heen ported allready) because it is open source and does not belong to any company. Unlike Harmattan, Sailfish and Fremantle (Maemo 5)

well first you need a device with an unlocked bootloader such as the nexus 4 then yes it can be done, its been done before, at incredibly slow speeds.

IIRC the Nemo guys were working on a way to use Bionic video drivers on glibc.
Maybe then, MeeGo on Android devices performance would stop sucking major balls.
