Hey @ancelad, I’m a little intrigued by the offer as I’m thinking of giving sailfish os a spin, though am missing a device to test it on.
I’m finding the sailfish X to be to expensive just for testing purposes o.O
How’s the newest release of sailfish working on the Jolla phone - smooth - semi smooth - a bit laggy - laggy?
How’s the android apps running?
I won’t need many android apps and they won’t be heavy on the hardware (public transport card and that kind of things)
How much would it cost to ship to Denmark?

Regards Dousan.

Jolla 1 is still a good sfos phone.
Biggest downside is the dark display compared to other sfos devices, so it is more suitable for indoor use.
Lastest update runs smooth to semi-smooth, quite surprisingly.
Android apps in Jolla 1 run comparable to Galaxy S3/S4-ish but lack some of the system integration user know from google natives.
Memory wise, it is advised to not run more than two dalvik apps at the same time.
Like, if you want to be sure whatsapp keeps running, you could run an android navi suit without whatsapp quitting, but a third dalvik app frequently tumbles the house of cards ands some to all dalvik apps close in background.

Most important for this phone, ancelad is a very reliable member and seller

Thanks for the info @mosen, very interesting and good to hear. I would probably only run two apps in dalvik, public transport card and whatsapp ;-)

Even better to hear this and that was my impression too

My concern is that the public transport app won't install and hence not work with jolla phone or Xperia X for that matter - that would be a bummer

Yeah, @mosen is totally right - it runs semi smooth, but it's enough for daily use. I don't have any problem with android-apps also if they are compatible with current aliendalvik (running Kitkat 4.4.4). I don't know about real cost of shipping (that depends from your city), but it's near €15-20. Let me know your city and postal code and we can cost it.
