Well yes, but that's what we're talking about transferring over. I don't know if it's simply a matter of recompilation either, as I've heard it mentioned as a reason why the Alien Dalvik on the Jolla phone can't be upgraded to the 4.4 version found on the tablet. Also there's no migration code so they couldn't upgrade existing Alien Dalvik installations, but the kernel version problem would be a showstopper. I have no idea what the dependency entails, but as Google freely patch the Linux kernel as they see fit, I wouldn't be surprised if 4.4 had a minimum kernel version.

So I'm pretty sure I'll wait

actually exchange might transfer fine, but it requires all deps with it, and am too lazy to go fishing for them off my jolla

Am I blind? Where do you see that? All I see is "£50 with bundle", whatever that is. With a 24 months contract.
