You probably have some background app running and when something gets hot under a pillow it gets even warmer(I once had a computer charger under my pillow, it was close to burning after about an hour).

Yes , flash it back and see if problem is gone

Code:
sudo gainroot
Code:
apt-get install --reinstall kernel kernel-flasher

just for info. My unit was hot after using the FM transmitter for 6 hours straight(sending my mp3 to the car radio) and the event consumed about 40% battery. I was not expecting the heat so I almost 'pee' in the pants when I picked up the unit off the dashboard.

setting: ideal profile with the enhanced kernel(v34), cpu limit at between 500 and 850. MP3 were played using symfonie, no Wifi, no gps running, screen off.

Miine often heats up, usually it is associated with charging or doing pretty much anything for a prolonged period of time, though i think it is mostly stuff that isn't all that easy on the processors.

mine does heat up when browsing while charging...but if urs is hot while idle theres some issue, try using conky/top and monitor cpu usage, are u connected to net all the time, how abt the 3g/wlan coverage, is it weak in ur area ?
