Just for the pure geekiness of it, the AAlib software would make an excellent contribution to our Maemo software collection.

The ability to watch movies in 'text mode' is sure to gain respect from our geek colleagues

Unfortunately I don't have a clue how to attempt it, but is anyone up for the challenge?

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.

Just imagine the envy of your iTurd friends when you show them a movie in ASCII....
