trying to install koffice and freoffice and abiword proccesor. The dam things just wont install. missing liberies or so mething or just saying instal failed......any ideas ????
need a app to open word aand excel docs if anyone got any ideas?

It's not free though..... Documents to go works well for me.

EDIT: It's only a viewer; if you are looking for an editor, you'll have to use one of the few you mentioned in your post.

Have you tried the app "Documents to go"?

@navsin You purchased the full version of Documents to go?

not really in a position to purchase docs to go ...could do with something to let me edit docs if possible.if not just to get the other apps working lol . thanks anyway.

Unfortunately, because there was a mixup with PR1.2, Freoffice (and quite possibly, the other two programs) require the libraries coming with the next firmware.

So.... You have to wait for it. If you can't, you can try OpenOffice via Easy Debian. Just search the Maemo wiki page, you have full install instructions there.

If you want to get informed answers to your post, you might try a more descriptive header than

as mentioned above easy debian is your best bet - its a full office suite and much much better than abiword/koffice etc.

Ive got the full openoffice and it takes time to load but it really is a full editing suite!
